The Head Chef

Originally from Nepal, Cepe, who served with the

Royal Gurkhas for 19 years, took ownership of

The Ferry in June 2014. Since then, he & his

 brothers have transformed the kitchen.

Amongst other offerings, they have added
a state of the art Tandoor oven to their

newly updated kitchens.

The three brothers work tirelessly to devise a

diverse menu with some extra special touches from the Far East.

By visiting the fresh food markets weekly, seeking out new and exciting ingredients, Cepe and his brothers hope that the Ferry's past years

of success continue onwards into the future.

THE FERRY
Nepalese (Gurkha) Restaurant Nepal, land of the mystifying Himalayas, birthplace of Lord Buddha and home of Legendary Gurkha soldiers, is blessed with scenic splendour and natural beauty. Though relatively small in area, the country is rich in ethnic diversity and cultural heritage. It is home to many tribal races, living in different regions, with their own unique culture, traditional customs, language and dialects. As a result, the taste of Nepalese cuisine differs from region to region within the country. Since Nepal is situated between China in the north and India in south, you will find the blend of both Oriental and Indian flavour in our cuisine. Bearing this in mind, our Gurkha restaurant presents you with a selection of regional dishes which are carefully blended to give you the authentic taste of Nepalese cuisine. In order to retain original flavours, we use fresh herbs and spices. Some of the dishes available are the specialty of our chef who skilfully blends the taste of both Oriental and Indian flavours. 'Pleasant to your palate but not overpowering flavour.' Bon Appetit
